European Week of Regions and Cities
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
For its 14th year, the European Week of Regions and Cities will bring together politicians, managing authorities and experts to discuss the latest on EU regional policy with a focus on “Regions and cities for sustainable and inclusive growth”. The event will take place between 10th and 13th October 2016. In all, 38 events will take place at the EU Committee of the Regions’ premises, addressing a variety of themes such as circular economy, revitalising rural areas, the post-2020 growth and jobs agenda, interregional cooperation, energy poverty, blue economy, entrepreneurship, demographic change, among others.
